The Woodlawn High School chapter of the National Honor Society is partnered with the American Red Cross to earn scholarships for our graduating seniors. At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we awarded three $500 scholarships to deserving seniors, and we hope to increase that amount during the 2025-2026 school year. Our scholarships are driven by the number of pints of blood collected at our drives held during the year. Please consider making a blood donation to save a life and fund a scholarship. Thank you!
Here are open fields and tryout information for WGS softball for students entering grades 5-8.
Open fields….
*June 18th and 19th 6:00-7:30pm using baseball or open field depending on little league games
*June 25th and 26th 6-7:30pm softball field
Tryouts will be…..
*June 30 & July 1st 6-8pm Field #1
Must bring own equipment, water bottle, and wear softball pants.

Just a reminder that today’s WHS Sports Banquet starts at 1:00 pm NOT 2:00 pm as originally scheduled at Woodlawn Christian Church.
Based on models shared with us by the National Weather Service, we are planning on WHS graduation continuing on schedule today. We will continue to monitor the weather situation and if we need to, we may push the ceremony back a little bit, but are hopeful we won't need to.
Due to pending bad weather, if your child is in the after school program, please make arrangements for pickup by 4pm today.
In order to make sure we get the students out of the buses before the storms pop up today Woodlawn Schools will dismiss at 2:30 today, 5/16/25.

The WHS softball game at Benton today is cancelled. Practice will be after school until 4:30 pm.
The WHS baseball game at Waltonville has been canceled today.
Here is some information about WHS graduation on Friday May 16.
WHS awards presentation will be at 8:45am on May 16. Graduation practice will take place immediately after the awards.
The graduation ceremony will be at 7pm on May 16.
The doors will open at 5:15pm. There are no reserved seats in the gym.
Seniors should arrive at the WHS library by 5:30pm for pinning on flowers, individual pictures and a group picture.
Reminder....WGS awards program is Mon night at 6pm.
