REMINDER - The Blood Drive will be held TODAY at the baptist church from 12-5pm. Please consider making a blood donation to save a life and fund a scholarship!
The Woodlawn High School chapter of the National Honor Society is partnered with the American Red Cross to earn scholarships for our graduating seniors. Our scholarships are driven by the number of pints of blood collected at our drives held during the year. At the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we awarded three $500 scholarships to deserving seniors, and we hope to increase that amount this school year.

Following the technician's recommendation, gas service was immediately shut off to the affected areas. Based on the type and location of the leaks, the Ameren technician determined that an evacuation of the building was not necessary.
I want to assure our community that at no time was anyone—students or staff—in any danger. The immediate action taken ensured the safety of everyone in the building.
As a result of the necessary shut-off, the boiler will be off, and some areas of the main building will be without gas for the remainder of the day. We expect the issue affecting the main building will be repaired tonight, and the boiler will be operational before school starts tomorrow morning, Thursday, December 4, 2025.
The safety of our staff and students is always our utmost priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we address this matter swiftly.
Eric Helbig
Superintendent
